Important Information
- Open every day of the year including weekends and public holidays (except Christmas Day)
- 25 minutes from Hobart's CBD and just off the A1 directly from Launceston
- EFTPOS facilities are available
- Family passes are available direct with Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and are not currently offered by Experience Oz
- You'll also be given a bag of complimentary kangaroo food, so you can enjoy some gentle hand-feeding with the free-roaming kangaroos. These gentle giants love a good scratch on the chest - not the head, back, or tail (they can find touching in these areas quite confusing!), and we do request that any joeys in Mum's pouch are left alone
- There's no pre-booking needed to join the feeding- just make sure you arrive 5-10 minutes before they start and you can join in. These tours run for 45 minutes and include the wombats, devils, and koalas
- The Sanctuary is one big circle, so if you stick to the path, you'll see everything! We recommend allowing at least 1 hour if you are self-guiding
- You should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe walking shoes and remember to bring a camera (and charge those batteries!)
- Please bring warm layers of clothing and rainwear just in case - especially in winter!
